So A LOT has happened in the last couple of weeks so I apologize for the very infrequent posts. I also apologize for the ugliness that is my layout....I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make a cute one. I've tried going to cutestblogontheblock and for some reason just can't get it to work for me-so it's simple for now. Here is an update on our crazy lives:
Three weeks ago things were looking pretty dismal in the job market and trying to get benefits and attempting to find a place of our own. Then all of a sudden Josh received a phone call from the County Attorney in Safford, AZ and 2 days later we packed up the car and drove the 3 hours to the interview. We felt good about the job and the adorable little town and crossed our fingers. On our way home the NEXT day, Josh received a job offer from the county attorney!! We prayed about it and instantly felt that this was the right step for us to take! And then BAM...everything just fell into place. Luckily we had scouted out some potential rental homes and got aquinted with the area so we already had an idea of what we wanted. We found a cute home to rent from an LDS guy and met up w/ him a couple days later @ his home in Gilbert to sign the lease-lucky that he lived SO close!! This all happened by Tuesday-5 days after Josh's interview and by THAT Saturday we were moving our little family to the cute little town of Safford, AZ!!!
Our time here has also been a whirwind!!! We moved Saturday and that Monday morning I was taking Liam to the Mt. Graham ER w/ a 104 degree fever....finding out after a few hours there that he had RSV (for the 2nd time in his life). He finally got over a couple of days later.....just in time for Aram to catch it! Luckily he did not get it quite as bad, but was still quite miserable. We finally got them better when a couple of days ago Josh & I BOTH caught a nasty stomach flu bug and had to take shifts monitoring the boys and sleeping!! YUCK!!! LUCKILY the boys did not catch it and we are all finally healthy and well!! (Knock on wood!!! ;p)
My pregnancy is going really well. Other than heartburn (thank goodness for Omerprezole!!!) and the occasional back ache....I can't complain. I could do w/ a little more sleep though!!! The boys are finally starting to sleep better and adjust to our new home, but it just never feels like enough!! :p( Her movement has really increased over this last week and it's so wierd to only feel one in there...cannot really explain that to you unless you've been pregnant w/ multiples... I feel like I've ballooned this last week and couldn't believe that yesterday I hit the 29 week mark!!! Only 11 more weeks to go! The only down side that I've found to living in this small town is the small hospital that does NOT do VBACs. In order to have one I would have to move down to the valley for a couple of weeks, wait to go in to labor, and then get one. Obviously this won't work for us since Josh cannot do this w/ his job and so there's a chance he would miss her birth. I also wouldn't want to impose on family for that long so I'm stuck w/ another C-Section and I just HOPE and PRAY that my recovery is better and not as horrific as the first time. That's the only reason why I don't want another one, but it's not in my hands so I'll just have to pray and be strong!!
Josh is really enjoying his new job as Deputy County Attorney for Graham County. The boys and I have visited him at work already a few times since the courthouse is about 5 minutes from our house!! (a HUGE plus!!) It's so fun to see him in his own office w/ his OWN secretary...I know that's dumb to be SO excited about but I'm just SO DANG proud of him and of this AMAZING accomplishment!!! He's already been put to work doing some cases and was able to go on a ride along today w/ one of the police officers here. We're just SO SO SO SO SO proud of him and of ALL of his hard hard work!!!
The boys really love the new house and HUGE backyard that we have!!! I think they've finally adjusted to the fact that we're staying put here and this is our new home. Their vocabulary has grown SO much lately and one favorite phrase that I hear pretty much all day is "Where's Dadda Where's Josh?" (we're working on the first name basis thing...Liam says this more than Aram and thinks he's pretty funny when I correct him..)
It's been SO fun being in an ACTUAL real life house!! This is the biggest place we've ever lived in and already we've taken up pretty much every inch of the 1300 sq ft that we have!! There is quite a bit of storage, which is nice. A HUGE laundry room that my WONDERFUL dad built pantry shelves for, a nice big porch, and a nice big storage shed in the back yard. I promise to put up pictures as soon as I can. We've pretty much unpacked everything.....it's the decorating that I'm struggling with. How do you decorate around 2 two year olds who take everything down and climb onto everything they possibly can!?? It'll be interesting.....
Our new ward is absolutely AMAZING!!! On our first Sunday before sacrament even started, it felt like home and where we should be!! Everyone is SO amazingly nice and I feel SO horrible that the niceness factor in this town shocked me! Our first Sunday we already had offers of bringing meals over and a couple of visits from different ward members. WE LOVE the ward SO SO SO much and can't wait to get better acquainted w/ the awesome members!! Another HUGE plus is that church starts @ 9:00 which is SO much better for Aram & Liam and mom & dad's sanity!!!
Well, I better get going and get these little guys bathed and in bed. Sorry for the long update.....I'm trying to be better! :p) Thanks for sharing in this exciting time with us!!

I am so glad that things have worked out so well. I am sorry you all got sick. It sounds like you are all doing much better and enjoying Safford.
Thanks for the update! I'm so happy to hear you guys are happy. Your home sounds so cute! We'll have to visit you some time!
Congrats on the job! We have been thinking of you and know the extreme pressure. Why does everyone think if you are a "lawyer" you suddenly get handed the key to the millionaire club? I always want to show people our student loan statements when they say "OH, your husband is an ATTORNEY" in hushed knowing tones.
sounds like these are going great for you guys! Congrats on the job that is so exciting!
Harms, you will do great with a repeat c-section. For me anyway, the 2nd time was a 1000X better than the first time. I am so excited to see pictures of your new home. How exciting to finally feel at home!
Congratulations on the wonderful job Josh! That is so awesome how things fell into place. And I am so sorry about the RSV. I can't believe that.
Welcome to our town!! Glad you guys are feeling better.
